Business Goals
We aimed to enhance the flexibility and usability of our crypto-backed card. Previously, the card could only be linked to a single USDT account, limiting spending options. At the same time, a required regulatory step — setting a payment password — existed in isolation and wasn’t clearly connected to the overall activation process. Our goal was to merge all necessary steps into one streamlined flow and make the card more versatile for everyday use.
User Needs
Users wanted more control over which crypto assets they could spend with their card. Another key pain point was the unclear UI around card activation — many didn’t realize they had to set a payment password before the card could be used. This led to drop-offs, as confirmed by support feedback and behavioral analytics.

What We Delivered
We introduced multi-asset spending — users can now link several crypto assets to their card and choose the priority order in which funds are debited. We also unified all required steps into a single, intuitive activation flow: setting the card’s online payment password and linking assets. This created a smoother and more transparent user experience.
The card screen now displays a simple, transparent checklist: set a payment password and link crypto assets. Once both are done, the user sees their active card with an estimated fiat balance based on the connected assets.

From zero to fully customized — users can link multiple assets and adjust their spending priority. This flexibility lets them manage funds based on market conditions or personal strategy.

Each successful action (like setting a password) ends with a confirmation and a smart nudge to the next step, keeping momentum high. After completing both steps, the user is invited to instantly add the card to Apple Wallet — ready to tap and pay.

Impact
The improved flow reduced activation drop-offs and made crypto spending more accessible. Early metrics showed a significant uplift in successfully activated cards, as well as higher wallet deposits across multiple currencies — confirming that flexibility drove engagement.
